Mom at college

My mother sitting on the window ledge of her dorm room, University of Illinois at Galesburg, Spring of 1949. She's wearing a red wool Chinese-style robe that her mom gave her. Smoking a cigarette & drinking a Budweiser. That spot near her eye was on the negative, not on her skin.

Maternals

My great-grandmother Margarethe Eitel & her children, 1916. My mother's mother Margarethe (Gretel) is second from right, her sister Katherine is second from left (in front) and her brother Bill is on the far right. I can't recall the others. Everyone in the photo's dead now.
