CHICKENSITTING at John & Amy's

Still moulting a little, but otherwise a fine looking chicken. Very good at finding worms.Labels: Aileen Street, chicken, daily life, Jen, Oakland

November Blooms
We have nice stuff blooming in the front of the house right now. End of November. California's great isn't it?

Barking Lot
By the time we get back to the Barking Lot, Boojum is ready to go. Looks like it's been a little rowdy in there today.

Sandy & Maureen
We ran into our neighbors from down the block, Maureen & Sandy. Sandy had some pretty Ginger flowers.

Temescal Farmers Market
When we got there, the Market was hoppin' busy - probably because it was about 74 degrees & sunny even though it was November.

Racing to the Farmers Market
When Boojum gets with two blocks of the Temescal Farmers' Market, she begins pulling on the leash like a lead sled dog. She's headed for the Barking Lot, where she knows she will get a treat. The Barking Lot is offered free by Red Rover Pet Care. They seem like very good folks. Check out the services they offer.
The other day she wasn't the only one racing down the street in a real hurry. I never seen a wheelchair go quite that fast.

DAILY GRIND
I wake up early:
I try to do an hour or so of work in my office before breakfast:
Then I go wait at the bus stop, near what used to be the fabulous Jimmy's House of Sparkles car wash. You can see where the neon was removed a few months ago. If I was king, I would turn it into a beer garden. Maybe call it the White Horse Tavern:
Here my bus is approaching the Bay Bridge:
Here's the latest phot of progress on building the new bridge:
After working all day at SFMOMA, I go back home, eat dinner, & spend another few hours working in my office:

Angela Davis Speech recreation
About a week ago, on the 2nd, I went to the Port Huron Project's recreation of an Angela Davis speech. Lots of white art curators there.
